Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Mary S. (Korb) Hart, age 90, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at the Wentworth Skilled Care Center in Lowell.
She was the wife of the late Herman E. Hart.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey on December 9, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Korb.
Mrs. Hart was raised in Greenville, New York and attended Greenville High School.
Mrs. Hart resided in Albany, New York for many years until moving to Tewksbury in 1991. While living in Albany, she was the Social Secretary for the Civil Service Employees Association of New York.
During World War II, Mrs. Hart was a volunteer with the Civil Defense Program of New York.
Prior to her retirement in 1981, she was employed for 34 years at the New York State Library and as a purchaser by the State of New York’s Department of Education.
In earlier years, she participated in several bowling leagues in Albany, NY.
She is survived by her son; retired Tewksbury Veterans Agent, Ellsworth K. Hart and his wife Dolores (Ann) (Schofield) Hart of Tewksbury; 4 grandchildren; Pamela Caverly, Jeffrey, Bradford, Douglas Schofield and their spouses; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; Sophie Palmer of Coeymans Hollow, NY, Anna Thurman of Albany, NY and Elizabeth Palermo of Chicopee, MA; also 2 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. Interment at Indian Fields Cemetery, Alcove, NY. Memorial contributions to the Tewksbury Food Pantry, 999 Whipple Rd., Tewksbury, MA 01876 are requested.
