Phyllis E. (Perry) Briggs, 93, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the wife of Clifton E. Briggs whom she was married to for 72 years.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late John H. and Mary (Sisson) Perry, she was a lifelong resident of the town. Prior to her retirement she worked as the cafeteria manager for Westport Community Schools. Mrs. Briggs was also a partner in Driftway Meadows Morgan Horse Farm, LLC, of Westport. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors along with her husband include her daughter: Joan P. Travers and her husband Michael of Westport; 2 grandsons: Scott and his wife Joanne, Sean and his wife Terri; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Henry, Sanford and Alden Perry, Ruth Waite, Elizabeth Luce, Gertrude Briggs, Sarah Manchester and Marjorie Kirby.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
