Obituary

Frank E. Coburn, 91, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at the Mary Immaculate Restorative/Nursing Center in Lawrence.

He was born on December 28th, 1923 in Charlestown, MA., son of the late Benjamin and Kathleen (McGillvery) Coburn. Mr. Coburn was educated in the Fisk School and was a graduate of the Woodbury High School both in Salem, New Hampshire. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Wars. Mr. Coburn worked as a Machine Operator for 35 years at Malden Mills.

He was a member of the DAV and the VFW, he was very proud of serving in the Navy and loved spending time with his family.

Husband of the late Margaret M. (Gordon) Coburn who passed away in March of 2014.

His daughter Kathleen and her husband James Fitzgibbons of Methuen, MA

His Joys in life, his grandchildren Michael and Bryanna Fitzgibbons

his Brother James Walsh and his wife Janice of Salem, NH
As well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Barbara Consul, Alan Coburn and Midge Harvey.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 20th, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. His funeral mass will be celebrated following the wake at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA. His burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
