Robert R. Castellina, 87, of New Bedford died suddenly on Sunday February 15, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Peter Castellina and Blanche (Smith) Meling, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Castellina was formerly employed as a machine operator at Morse Cutting Tools for 38 years until his retirement.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Andrews-Dahill Post 1531, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Castellina and his wife Sharon of Berkley; a daughter, Susan L. Rysz and her husband Stanley of New Bedford; his former wife, Mary (Kennedy) Castellina of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Katie, Kara, Martha, and Nicholas; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Adrien, Ashlynne, and Alice.
He was the brother of the late Bernice Norton.
