Curtis Stephens

Curtis Stephens, 89, of Anderson died February 16, 2015 at Community Northview after a month long illness.
He was born in Kentucky, February 3, 1926 to Alvin and Retha (Stephens) Stephens.
He worked at Guide Lamp 42 years before retiring on September 30, 1995 from the Waste water treatment department where he was known as "the Water Dog".
He was a member of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed wood cutting and liked to joke.
Survivors include his daughter, Verla K. (Randall M.) Ashton of Anderson; six brothers and sisters, Verlon (Peggy) Stephens of Anderson; Gladys Simpson; Hollis (Kay) Stephens; Elbert Stephens; Sharon (Larry) Coffey all of Russell Springs, KY and Collis (Jerri) Stephens of Jamestown, KY; three grandchildren, Joshua N. (Ashley) Stephens of Pendleton; Vincent R. (Chrysalis) Ashton of Michigan and Lora R. Smith of Anderson; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, his wife, Kathleen (Zimmerman) Stephens died May 27, 1995; son, Neal Stephens in 1980; five brothers, Bobby, Getha, Ralph, Jimmy and Billy Stephens and a sister, Irene Youngblood.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Joe Roysden of Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
