TAUNTON – Elsie V. (Perry) Santos, wife of forty-six years to the late Joseph Santos, died at Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro on Feb. 12, 2015.
She was 98.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of Joseph V. and Maria “Mary” (Alves) Perry.
Mrs. Santos was a graduate of Taunton High School and was later employed as an Inspector for Reed and Barton, Princess House and its Sovereign Division.
A communicant of St. Paul’s Church and later St. Andrew the Apostle Church, she was also active in many area organizations.
Survivors include a son, Joseph E. Santos and his wife Jane of Bridgewater; two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Perry, both of Taunton; two grandchildren, Joseph E. Santos, Jr. of Michigan and Julie Santos-Tufts of Texas; three great grandchildren, Copper Santos, Maddison Tufts and Barry “Remy” Tufts, III; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
She was also sister of the late Emily Vieira, Mary “Mae” Parker, and Joseph and Charles Perry.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Feb. 19th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 18th from 4 to 7 p.m.
