On February 11, 2015 ERNA ELSIE LAMORA COPLIN GISRIEL, born November 15, 1916, she is the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Austin E. Gisriel, Sr. Loving mother of Austin E. Gisriel, Jr. and his wife Martha M. Gisriel of Williamsport, MD; grandmother of Sarah E. Gisriel of Williamsport, MD and Rebecca L. Dice and her husband Jesse Dice of Charlottesville, VA. Born in Elkridge, MD, she and Austin raised their son, first on Loch Raven Blvd. in Baltimore, then in Hydes, MD. Erna had resided at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD for the past 30 years. A 1935 graduate of Western High School in Baltimore, she worked at Butler Brothers from 1936-1946 and as a secretary for Ralph W. Simmers & Sons, Inc. from 1952-1956. Erna loved to dance and was a Baltimore Orioles fan going back to their days in the International League and she was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg. Her life was long and she died happy and peacefully. So should we all.
