Rose A. (Duarte) Carlisle, 90, of New Bedford died February 13, 2015 at New Bedford Health Care Center.
She was the former wife of the late Lloyd F. Carlisle.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francisco A. and Maria (Almeida) Duarte, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed by several local textile mills for many years before retiring as a home health aide.
Survivors include 2 sons, James Carlisle and his wife Cathy of New Bedford and Gilbert Carlisle of South Dartmouth; a daughter, Rosemarie Busnengo of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Christine Duarte, Mary Leighton, Francisco Duarte, Jr. and Antonio Duarte.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, February 16th from 3-7 PM.
