Macomber, Timothy Vaughn
GORHAM – Timothy Macomber, age 50, died at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on February 12, 2015. He fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for two years. Tim was born September 11, 1964 in Dexter, ME to Merton and Gloria Macomber. He is the youngest of three children. He graduated from Dexter Regional HS in the class of 1983, EMCC in the class of 1985, and Wentworth Institute of Technology in the class of 1988. Tim was employed at Fairchild Semiconductor for 29 years as a software engineer as well as global IT manager and data architect. Tim married Tracy Lynne Cote of Portsmouth, NH in 1998. They were blessed with 16 years of devoted marriage. They met at Happy Wheels in Newington, NH and loved roller skating in NH and all over Maine.
Tim is survived by his wife Tracy, his three loving children Trinity Nicole age 23, Thomas James age 15, and Trevin Cody age 9, his parents Merton and Gloria Macomber, brothers Gregory and Jeffrey Macomber, father-in-law Roland Cote and his wife Janet Morley, mother-in-law Darla Cote, brother-in-law Eric Cote, sisters-in-law Sandi Macomber and Heather Cote, and many other family members.
Since being diagnosed in February 2013 Tim and his family enjoyed vacations in Jamaica, Florida, Cape Cod, and New York City and camping at Boyd Lake and Papoose Pond.
In lieu of flowers, Tim and his family are requesting donations be made to college funds that were set up for Thomas and Trevin by Fairchild Semiconductor. To make a donation, please visit gofundme.com and search for “The Timmy Fund”. Donations will be split equally between the two college funds.
Visiting hours will be held at Windham Baptist Church 973 River Rd in Windham ME on Sunday February 22, 2015 from 1 pm to 3 pm with funeral services to immediately follow at 3 pm.
