Obituary

SPENCER: John T. “Jack” Swedis, 71, of R. Jones Road died Sunday, Feb. 8 in his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Pauline J. (Duguay) Swedis, two sons; Scott M. Swedis of Spencer and Joshua N. Swedis and his wife Carina of Worcester, a daughter Heather M. Benham and her husband Scott of Spencer, a brother Richard Swedis of Ocala, FL, two sisters; Carol Fuller and Patricia Swedis both of Cherry Valley, two grandchildren John & Alison Benham, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Max & Molly.
Jack was born in Worcester, son of Peter and Anna (Simokonis) Swedis. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves. He was a Master Electrician and worked with the IBEW Teamsters Local 96 for over 50 years. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history. He loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Children’s Tumor Foundation, 120 Wall Street , 16th floor, New York , NY 10005-4002
