Obituary

Robert L. Blais Sr., 75, formerly of S. Jewett St., Manchester, died April 2, 2002, at a Bedford health care facility, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, May 16, 1926, he was the son of Edgar and Ida (Manseau) Blais. He lived most of his life in this city.

Mr. Blais retired in 1976 from Pepperidge Farm Biscuits where he worked as a distributor for many years.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Blais was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and Manchester Post 79. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5260, and a 4th degree member of the Bishop Bradley Assembly.

He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, and was an avid cribbage player.

He was married to Adrienne (Carrier) Blais, who died in 1981.

Family members include three sons, Robert L. Blais Jr. of Bedford, Paul A. Blais of Manchester, and John R. Blais of Auburn; three daughters, Joanne Blais of Manchester, Diane L. Blais of Plainsboro, NJ, and Michelle J. Blais of Hampstead, NH; 5 grandchildren; three brothers, Harold A. Blais of Manchester, Gordon L. Blais of Pembroke, and Clarence A. Blais of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday April 5, 2002 in St. Anthony Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
