Kingston – Edna G. (Tuttle) Connelly 93, formerly of South Boston and Florida, died Sunday February 8 at the Inn at Silver Lake after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Connelly.
Born in Somerville and raised in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Burt) Tuttle, step-daughter of the late Josephine (Poleo) Tuttle and a graduate of South Boston High.
Prior to her retirement and move to Florida where she had resided for 22 years, Edna had been a lifelong resident of South Boston and had worked for over 30 as an administrative secretary for a molasses company in South Boston.
She loved to travel and had enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
She is survived by her sister Arline Shaughnsey of Florida, her sister-in-law Frances Tuttle of Quincy and her brother-in-law Melville DeYulus of Abington. She is also survived by her 9 loving nieces and nephews, 22 great and 6 great great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her two longtime and dear friends Pearl Cecere and Julie Bosner both of Florida. She is predeceased by her brother Charles Tuttle, her sister Adele DeYulus and her brother-in-law Charles Shaughnsey
