Preston L. Swanson, 81, of Stimpson Street, Johnston, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the husband of Marie (Pezza) Swanson.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Leonard and Astrid (Carlson) Swanson. He had lived in Johnston for 55 years.
He was a representative for Kin Koil in Connecticut before retiring. He was a Korean Navy Veteran.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters: Donna Izzo of Providence, Patricia Izzo of Johnston and Michelle DiRocco of North Providence, his five grandchildren, a great granchild and his sister, Marilyn Swanson of Johnston.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday 9:30-10:30am.
