Funeral from the J.Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am.Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Mr. Wright died Tuesday at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health.Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Ernest J. and Mary (Concannon) Wright. He had been a life long resident of Brockton, attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Coyle High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Holy Cross College and received his medical degree from Boston University. For many years he was an Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in Brockton. While still managing his practice he attended Suffolk Law School in the evening to receive his law degree. He passed his law boards in the 1970’s. During WW II he served in the Army Air Corps.He was a member of the American Medical Assoc. and past member of Commercial Club and of the YMCA where he enjoyed playing handball and he also enjoyed spending time with his family and working around his summer home in Little Harbor.
Survived by his wife of over 50 years, Irene M. (Zubrinski) Wright and his children,Dr. Robert F. Wright, Jr. of Pembroke; Michael J. Wright of Quincy; Dr. Paula S. Wright of Cambridge; Lawrence W. Wright; Peter J. Wright and Mary A. (Wright) Guaraldi all of Brockton,seven grandchildren, a sister, Sr. Patricia Wright, CSN of Louisville, KY and two nieces and a nephew.
