Norman Virgle Stiles, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at his home in Port Hueneme, California. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn Stiles; parents, Virgle & Oda Stiles; sister Majella Fry; brother Harold Stiles; son Norman Larry Stiles; great-granddaughter Tyler Messer; and lifelong friend George Stallings.
He is survived by his daughters, Gerri Brooks (Ernie) and Toni Dills; grandchildren Ronda, Michael (Morgan), Johnathan (Holly), Bridgett (Robert), and William; great-grandchildren Michelle (Cesar), Rodney, Clay, Ethan, Gage, Aidan, Nathan, Annika, Riley, Ronan, Jessie, Clyde, Logan, and Derek; and great-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Ava.
Norman was born April 10, 1925, in Long Beach, California. He was a resident of Ventura County for over 70 years. He was a World War II veteran and retired as a federal employee in 1987. He loved to entertain everyone with his many stories. Norman was a tough "old school" man's man with a fiery attitude, but loving, kind, and compassionate at the same time. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for a family member in need. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. We will miss him always but are thankful for having so many wonderful years with him.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2014 at JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE 757 E. Main Street Ventura at 11am with a reception to follow at Harbor Lights Clubhouse. The family can be contacted at (805) 984-5840.
