
Alice Rose (Gilligan) McKee, 92, of Plymouth, died peacefully at home on February 3rd. Beloved wife of the late Claude McKee, she is survived by her children Robert McKee and his late wife Mary of East Longmeadow, Barry McKee and his wife Marcia of Sun City Center, FL; Karen Morton and her husband William of Kingston and Kathy McKee and her wife Anne of Plymouth. She also leaves her 4 cherished grandchildren Elaine Grocott, Erin Obernesser, and Alexander and Katharine McKee and her great grandchildren Julia and Catherine Grocott and Liam Obernesser.
Alice was born in Dorchester, daughter of the late John and Katherine (McLaughlin) Gilligan. She moved to Plymouth 16 years ago from Sandwich. She was an avid Red Sox fan, a member of the Emblem Club in Quincy and enjoyed reading, swimming, walking, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 8th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 3 to 5 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure’s Church on Monday, February 9th at 10 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations in her memory be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cr, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
