WEBSTER – Robert R. “Boob” Cummings, 83, died Friday, January 30, 2015 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare after being stricken ill at home on January 28.
He leaves his caregivers and friends for 30 years, Peter and Julie Furst of Shrewsbury and their children, Justin Furst of Vernon, CT and Nathanial Furst of Shrewsbury.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Raymond F. and Hazel (Hodgman) Cummings. He attended the Nazareth Home for Boys in Leicester.
Mr. Cummings was a counselor for the Seven Hills Foundation for 20 years before retiring. He spent his life helping people with disabilities.
He was a weekly bowler in leagues at the Auburn Ten Pin Alley for many years. He also enjoyed his annual fishing trips to Maine.
No funeral services are planned. There are no calling hours.
