Richard M. Plante, 65, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday, December 27, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. Mr. Plante was born in Lewiston, ME on March 20, 1939, a son of the late Albert and Pauline (Gourre) Plante. He was a resident of Londonderry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Franklin, NH. He retired from the Town of Londonderry in 2001 as town administrator. He was a member of the Inter City Management Assoc. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bernard Poulin Assembly in Pittsfield, ME. He enjoyed computers, music and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Irene (Gagnon) Plante of Londonderry, three sons, Daniel A. Plante of Pittsfield, ME, David L. Plante of Berlin, NH, Darren R. Plante of Norridgewock, ME, one daughter, Diane E. Gerow of Indialantic, FL, nine grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Crystal Ave., Derry, with cremation following. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern NE Chapter, 114 Perimeter Rd., Unit G & H, Nashua, NH 03063 or to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, PO Box 767, Framingham, MA 01701.
