Kathleen “Una” Margaret (Harrington) Collins, 86, of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan 31, 2015 at Mary Immaculate Rehab Center in Lawrence MA. Kathleen was born in Carrigaline, County Cork Ireland on March 29, 1928 to William and Mary (Irwin) Harrington.
She was the wife of the late Timothy “Ted” Collins to whom she was married for 42 years. They were married in the Church of Crosshaven, Ireland in 1953 and moved to the United States in 1956, settling in the Lawrence area close to her mother’s sister Aggie. Kathleen worked for Sylvania Corp until starting a family and becoming a full time housewife.
She leaves five children, John and wife Victoria of Salem, NH, Timothy and wife Gail of Plaistow, NH, Sheila and husband Ray of North Andover, MA, Jerry and wife Mary Ann of Sandown, NH, and the youngest son Jim of Methuen, MA. Kathleen is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and her brother Jerry and wife Sheila of Carrigaline, Ireland.
