Obituary

LOWELL: Andrew J. Clancy, age 19, a lifelong resident of the Christian Hill area of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
He was born in Lowell on May 16, 1985, the son of Bernard F. and Janice M. (Wickroski) Clancy.
Mr. Clancy attended St. Michael’s School of Lowell and was graduated as a member of the National Honor Society from Central Catholic High School of Lawrence with the Class of 2003.
Following graduation, he entered Trinity College of Hartford, CT. Mr. Clancy was currently a sophomore at Trinity College and was majoring in Russian.
He was a member of the Trinity College ski team and the “Chapel Singers” organization.
Mr. Clancy was an avid skier and was certified by the P.S.I.A. as a ski instructor. He also enjoyed sea kayaking on Long Island Sound, hiking the mountains of New Hampshire and traveling to France, Spain and China. While visiting China, he studied international relations at Ling Nan University in Hong Kong.
Mr. Clancy was a member of the Appalachian Mountain 4000 footer Club. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Lowell.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother; Aurore Clancy of Lowell; his maternal grandfather; Alphonse Wickroski of Woodbridge, CT; his aunts and uncles; Patricia Kenney and her husband Dave of Tewksbury and Judith Greenburg and her husband Dan of Hastings on Hudson, NY; also numerous cousins and friends.
Mr. Clancy was the paternal grandson of the late Edward Clancy and maternal grandson of the late Sabina Wickroski.
At the request of the family funeral arrangements are private. Donations in his memory may be made to Saints Memorial Medical Center, 1 Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852. Arrangements entrusted to FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, TEWKSBURY.
