BLIGH, Raymond N., 84 of Wellesley, January 31st. Devoted husband of 38 years to the late Barbara Wheaton. Father of Barbara Leonaggeo, of Bernardsville, NJ; Pamela Varriale, of Medway; Raymond Bligh, of Westwood; Philip Bligh, of Framingham; and Austin Bligh, of Wellesley. Dear brother of Kenneth Bligh, of Grand Junction, CO and the late Ednarae Gross, of Albuquerque, NM. Also survived by six grandchildren.
Graduated from Boston English High School, received a BA from Boston University, and earned a M. Div. from Crozer Theological Seminary. Served in the Navy from 1956-1959. Founder and President of Bounty Management, investment firm in Boston. Member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Wellesley and Trinity by the Cove in Naples, Florida. Life trustee of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, NY and member of the Massachusetts Freemasons. Loved to travel, cook, read, and spend time with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Salvation Army. A private funeral was held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, Wellesley. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Andrew’s Church in Wellesley.
