Elizabeth J. “Betty Jane “(Kobylis) Citrone, 82 of Franklin, formerly of Dedham and Hyde Park, passed away “going on vacation”, at her home surrounded by her daughters. She was the wife of the late Anthony D. Citrone, who she married in May 1952 and who died in July 2001.
Born in Wilmington, April 11, 1932, the daughter of the late August and Anna M. (Marcavius) Kobylis, Mrs. Citrone was raised in Wilmington and Mattapan and had lived in Dedham and Hyde Park for many years prior to moving to Franklin 11 years ago.
She was a graduate of Wilmington High School.
Mrs. Citrone had worked for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston.
Betty Jane loved to cook, bake and sew. She had a flair for decorating and crafts and enjoyed family holidays.
She is survived by her children, Jody Jeanetti and her husband Richard of Dedham, Ann Barr and her husband Donald of Wrentham and Anthony “Tony” Citrone, Jr. and his wife Marie of Dedham.
She was the sister of the late Augustine and Edmund Kobylis.
She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren all who loved her very much.
Betty Jane is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
