Genoveva (Olivera) Santiago, 87, of Walpole, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her home.
Born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico on February 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Avelino and Victoria (Algarin) Olivera.
Mrs. Santiago was a resident of Walpole for the past eight years and formerly resided in Puerto Rico.
Before her retirement, she worked as a chef and entrepreneur for many years.
Known as Titi to her many friends and family, Mrs. Santiago enjoyed volunteering at her church in Puerto Rico and doing community work.
She is survived by a son, Ismael Santiago and his wife Judith Estrada of Tampa, Florida, a daughter Alice Santiago and her husband William Finucane of Walpole and seven grandchildren, Nelson, Anthony, Ricky, Jessica, Izmira, Adrian and William.
She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Edwarda Santiago of Puerto Rico.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours in the Ginley Funeral Home; 892 Main Street in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Thursday, January 29 from 4 - 8 p.m.
Cremation will take place privately following the calling hours at the request of her family.
