Douglas P. Foy,45, of 774 Pleasant St., in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died suddenly, Dec. 23 at his home.
He leaves his wife of 20 years, Laurie J. (Wiggins) Foy, a son Ryan D. Foy, two daughters Kyla M. and Kristin J. Foy all at home, his parents Michael A. and Deborah (Rowden) Foy of Leicester, three brothers Michael P. and David P. Foy both of Leicester and Jonathan P. Foy of Shrewsbury, a sister Jill M. Dowgielewicz of New Braintree, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry A. and his wife Linda Wiggins, Jr. of Worcester and Sandra D. Wiggins of Millbury, many nieces and nephews. A sister, Pamela M. Foy died in 1968.
Mr. Foy was a crane operator for CSX Intermodal in Worcester where he worked for the past 8 years, previously he worked at the Providence & Worcester Railroad and R.H. White Construction Co.
Born in Worcester, he graduated from Leicester High School and was a member of the Teamsters, Local 170 in Worcester. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with family and friends.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Foy Children's Education Fund, c/o Spencer Savings Bank, 21 S.Main St., Leicester, 01524.
