Hazel M. Mosher
Member of the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury

ANDOVER: Hazel M. (Hardy) Mosher, age 97, a lifelong Andover resident, passed away at the Wingate of Andover on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of William Mosher, who passed away on April 30, 1981.

Born in Andover on May 12, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. Hardy and Marion E. (Cate) Hardy.

Hazel attended Andover schools and graduated from the former Punchard High School.

She was a member of several church groups including the Faithful Workers and Bible Study Groups.

Hazel was a member of the Foster Parents Association and was a foster mother to many children.

She enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labor.

The family wishes to thank the Staff of Wingate of Andover for the care Hazel received.

Survivors include, three sons, William Mosher of South Carolina, Robert Mosher of Florida, Jonathan Mosher of Revere; three daughters, Sarah Barnaby and Debbie Barr both of Methuen, Elizabeth Connernney of NY; one brother, F. Douglas Hardy of South Carolina; one sister, Shirley MacLeish of Andover; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Miller of N. Andover; also many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Hazel was the mother of the late James Mosher and Alice Dixon.

Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 30, from 10-11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury, immediately followed by her funeral service to be held in the church. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
