SACO- John “Jay” Joseph Costa, age 52, passed away on Jan. 23, 2015 at his home in Saco.
He was born in Fall River, MA on Oct. 30, 1962 to the late John and Roseline (Arruda) Costa.
After graduating high school, John went on to proudly serve in the US Coast Guard.
Most recently, Jay was working for Hannaford's in South Portland.
He will always be remembered for the enjoyment he had in hunting, camping, partying and being with friends and family.
Jay was an accomplished musician and was a drummer for local bands such as Prismm, Corner Boys and Time Out.
John is predeceased by his parents- and his beloved German Shepherd- Bear.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Wendy (Sylvia) Costa; children- Gregory Mathias of New Gloucester, Tracy Mathias of Raymond, and Justin Costa of Somerset, MA; and his granddaughter- Makayla Mathias.
Visiting hours will be held this Saturday, January 31, from 2-5 PM at the Old Orchard Beach Funeral Home, 36 Portland Ave. in OOB.
