PROVIDENCE – Carlos Souza of Tiverton, RI died Sunday, December 26th in Providence at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Alexandria (Wasilowski) Souza and the father of Michael Souza of Lynn, MA & Stephanie Restuccia of Canajoharie, NY. He has 2 grandchildren and was the brother of Margaret Silvestre of Somerset and Helen Arruda of Somerset and many nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Gabriel Souza, Geraldine Borges, & Mary Ferreira Souza.
He was born in Fall River the son of the late Bento Souza Ferreira and the late Angelica (Cordeiro) Souza Ferreira. He was a resident of Tiverton for 51 years and had worked for Coca Cola as a driver & salesman for 34 years prior to his retirement. He was a 1944 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II, and a member of St. Theresa Church.
His funeral will be held on Thursday December 30th at 8:45 A.M. from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 No. Main Street, Fall River, MA followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Theresa Church 265 Stafford Rd. Tiverton, RI. Interment in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI. Calling Hours will be Wednesday December 29th from 4-8 P.M.
