Ernest Joseph George age 81 of Salem, NH, died Saturday at the Kindred Hospital, Peabody, MA
He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 50 years, formerly of Methuen, MA.
Mr. George owned and operated EJ’S Garden Center in Salem, NH for many years. He was also a Race Track Superintendent for Rockingham and Seabrook Race Track. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem, NH and the Arlington Social Club in Methuen, MA. Mr. George was a US Army veteran, serving in World War II and was a member of the VFW Salem Memorial Post 8546 in Salem, NH.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 29, 2004 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2004 from 3-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
