Quinta M. (DeBaggis) Messere, 95, of Franklin died January 20, in the Serenity Hill Nursing Home in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Philip Messere who died in 1992.
Born in Franklin, June 15, 1919, the daughter of the late Francesco and Carolina (Travasso) DeBaggis, Mrs. Messere was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Messere was a 1937 graduate of Franklin High School.
She had worked for several local law firms as a secretary for many years.
Mrs. Messere had also worked at the GAF factory in Franklin.
Quinta loved to cook Italian food and had also been a member of the Franklin Senior Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Barnes and her husband Paul of Foxboro and Phyllis Malcolm and her husband George of Franklin.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Lauren Barnes of Mansfield.
Mrs. Messere was the sister of the late Louis DeBaggis, Angela Travasso, Mary Plummer and John DeBaggis.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 24 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
