Gordon E. Burt, 53, of New Bedford died Friday January 16, 2015 suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Medeiros) Burt.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Gordon F. and Katherine Lillian (DeSisto) Burt, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Burt was employed as a senior quality control technician for Autocam Medical.
His life was surrounded by his family - his wife, his kids, and his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; five children, Anthony Arruda of Acushnet, Jonathan Arruda of New Bedford, Elizabeth Polcelli and husband Daniel of Uxbridge, Caleb Burt and Payton Burt, both of New Bedford; a sister, Maryann Jorge and husband David of New Bedford; his mother-in-law, Theresa Medeiros of Dartmouth; his in-laws, Louie Medeiros, Jr. of North Carolina, Debra Gauthier of New Bedford, Allen Medeiros of Illinois, and Betty Medeiros of Dartmouth; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Kathleen Burt and son-in-law of the late Louis Medeiros, Sr.
His Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 23, 2015 at 10 AM at the Christian Fellowship Center, 822 Church St., New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted.
