Jack Eugene Craig
Sept. 4, 1923 - Jan. 16, 2015

Jack Eugene Craig, 91, died January 16, 2015 at Rosegate Village Rehab facility (Indianapolis) following a brief illness. He was born September 9, 1923 in Madison County and was a lifelong resident of the Anderson area.

He served in the U.S. Army from March 1943 to Feb. 1946 as a Platoon Leader overseas with the 386th Infantry Regiment during WW II.

He worked at Hamilton Harris Candy and Tobacco in Anderson working his way up as manager. He worked there for over 50 years before retiring through Eby Brown in Indianapolis in 1997.

Jack was involved with the Anderson Rotary Club and enjoyed playing golf, but his favorite pass time was fishing.

Survivors include his two daughters and son-in-law, Cheri Craig, of Michigan and Sandy (Russ) Rougeau of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessie, Kara Rougeau and John Brady Suko.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, brother, Richard Craig and his father and mother, Sherald and Bernice (Grubb) Craig.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark of Chesterfield Christian Church officiating immediately following will be burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the service at 2 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
