Charles W. Case, 79 of Londonderry, passed January 17, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 9, 1935 in Unity, NH, a son of the late, Raymond and Emma (Sheldon) Case. He was raised in Auburn, NH and has been a resident of Londonderry for the past 57 years.
Mr. Case was a heavy equipment operator by trade and worked many years for Rodgers Brothers Builders. After which he owned and operated C&MC Enterprises of Londonderry. He enjoyed auto mechanics and loved working in his shop with his sons and grandsons. He also enjoyed stock car racing during the 50’s and 60’s at Manchester and Hudson Speedways and The Pines Speedway in Groveland, MA. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, clamming, boating and camping. Mr. Case was an avid snowmobiler, was a former President in his local club, the Hudson Snomen, as well of the NH Snowmobile Association and a Northeast Chapter Chairman. He was inducted into the elite “Iron Dogs” organization, dedicated to the sport of snowmobiling.
Mr. Case enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, where he and his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Jane, visited all 48 contiguous states and 10 Canadian Provinces. He will forever be remembered for his great love and fierce loyalty of his family.
Members of the family include his “Sunshine” of 61 years, wife Mary Jane (Ivon) Case of Londonderry NH, his four children, Michael Case of Haverhill, MA, Gerald Case and his wife Kathy, Thomas Case and his wife Linda and Debra (Case) Donovan, all of Londonderry, NH. 10 grandchildren and their families, Shannon Case of Cape Coral, FL., Kevin Donovan, of Londonderry, NH, Shawn Case of Goffstown, NH, Kristopher Case of Derry, NH, Kari Fontaine of Bow, NH, Ashleigh Case, Jeremy Case, Megan Donovan, Travis Case and Alexander Case all of Londonderry, NH. Three siblings and their spouses, Anna and Andrew Messier of Pittsfield, NH, Harold and Judy Case and Andrew and Margaret Case, both of Londonderry, NH. 15 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Jr., William and Frank Case, his sister Cecile (Case) Greenwood and granddaughter, Courtney Case.
Calling hours were held from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 10:30 am at St. Mark’s Parish, 2 South Rd. in Londonderry and will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery of Londonderry.
