Lotta Agnes Morris died peacefully in her home in Mansfield, MA surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January, 16 2015, at the age of 90. She was a resident of Mansfield for the past 12 years.
Lotta is survived by her children, Victoria Morse and son-in-law Donald Morse with whom she resided of Mansfield, Ma., Gloria Jackman of Cortlandt Manor, NY., and Keith Morris, Jr. of Hawthorne, NY. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Lotta was born on August 27, 1924 in New York City to Willibald and Angelina Appelhans. She attended schools in Bronx, NY. She married Keith Morris in New York City on April 29, 1950 who predeceased her. They raised their children in Ardsley, NY and enjoyed travelling and playing tennis together. One of their favorite destinations was Las Vegas. Her children remember her as a loving, humorous, and generous woman who certainly was one of a kind.
She was accomplished at painting, sewing, designing clothing, dancing, and synchronized swimming. She was a special individual who was passionate about family, fashion, and the protection of animals.
Lotta will be celebrated by family and friends in a private ceremony in NY. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the ASPCA.
