Josephine O. (Wrigley) Botelho, 98, of Westport died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Somerset Ridge. She was wife of the late Manuel O. Botelho.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late John T. and Josephine (Ouellette) Wrigley, she had lived in Westport since 1950. A 1933 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she was a seamstress at the former Fall River Knitting Mills until her retirement in 1982. She was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Mrs. Botelho was an avid card player and was a former member of the Our Lady of Grace Church Club, the Noquochoke Club of Westport and the Westport Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include her son: John P. Botelho of N. Dartmouth; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Isaura Souza and Mary E. Beckman and sister of the late Hannah M. Shorrock.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 3-6 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
