BEVERLY: Frank L. Breton, 89, died peacefully, Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Joan M. (Wolniewicz) Breton.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on May 11, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank Manning and Rachael (Carbonneau) Breton. He was a graduate of Manchester High School and the Massachusetts Technical School in Boston. He had resided in Beverly and Hamilton for most of his adult life. A U. S. Marine Corps veteran of World War Two, he served in Peleliu and Okinawa before being honorably discharged in May 1946. H was also a member of the A.P. Gardner Post #194, American Legion in Hamilton and loved attending his Marine Corps reunions.
Frank owned and operated Breton’s TV in Beverly for many years. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including, swimming, camping, skating and snow mobiling. He took great pride in building his summer home at Granny Kent Pond in Shapleigh, Maine. His greatest joy was his family and he will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his wife of 32 years, he is survived by his five children, Carol Rogers of Shapleigh, ME, Donna Maguire of Sanford, ME, Darlene Breton of Sanford, ME, Francine Cram and her husband, Dennis of Shapleigh, ME and Thomas Breton and his wife Patricia of Shapleigh, ME; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Breton of Biddeford, ME; two brothers-in-law, Larry Dedeo and his wife, Pam and Ed Packard; a sister-in-law, Ann Packard and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Frank Breton, Jr. and a sister, Pearl DiFranza.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in St. John the Evangelist Church, New Balch St., Beverly at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends and cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901.
