Claire E. Sevigny, 71 of Arlington St. passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 surrounded by her family at home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Berlin April 7, 1943 daughter of late Alfred and Valeda (Morrissette) Lacasse. Prior to her retirement she was employed at GAMM as a stitcher.
Claire’s family was the most important thing in her life. She loved nothing more than doing things for them or spending time with them at the beach, camping, and just being in her yard with all of them there for cookouts and sledding. She also loved going to Bingo and spending time with her sisters.
She is survived by her son Normand and wife Nona, four daughters; Jeanne and husband Roland Riendeau, Rita and husband Larry Hisman, Nancy and husband Jeffrey Guay, Joanne and husband Michael Parent. She loved her seven grand children; Tucker Riendeau, Nicole (Riendeau) and her husband Jason Dumont, Nicholas Fournier, Kayla Guay, Kyle Guay, Jordan and Justin Parent and also loved her two great grandchildren Parker and Madilyn Dumont. She is also survived by her sisters Elliette Hamel of Florida, Dorothy Chaisson of Berlin, Marie Ann Filteau of Berlin, Grace Couture of Hooksett, Lucille Lowe of Randolph, Jeanne Guerin of Berlin, Theresa Pinette of Berlin and two brothers; Paul Lacasse of Florida and Ted Lacasse of Berlin and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Sevigny of 48 years and one sister Sylvia Ayotte.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 PM until 1 PM, prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, PO Box 96305, Washington DC 20077-7215.
