Oxford – Daniel R. Champagne, 72, of Oxford, died on Friday, January 2nd in the Sandalwood Nursing Center after an illness.
Mr. Champagne is survived by a son, Daniel Champagne Jr. and his fiancée, Sarah Sansom of Oxford; a stepson, Wayne Burlock and his wife Laurie of Oxford; his former wife, Ann (Abrahamson) Champagne of Oxford; a brother, Joseph Champagne of Oxford; three sisters, Alice Hebb of East Brookfield, Ruthie Dion of Oxford and Ann Frederick of Auburn; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Dan was born in Auburn, son of the late Henry and Rose (Thibeault) Champagne and is also predeceased by a stepson, Lester Burlock and two brothers, Raymond and Roland Champagne. He is a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Champagne worked for both ACME Roofing Company and Anglo Fabrics before his retirement. He was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Auburn.
A viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 on Monday, January 5th in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will follow in North Cemetery, Oxford.
