Jeannette Manzelli passed away peacefully at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 80. Born and raised in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Ryan) Ranauro. A Medford resident for more than 50 years, Jeanette worked as a supervisor with the Registry of Motor Vehicles. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed a special relationship with her grandchildren and Jeanette was especially devoted to her late husband Peter whom she cared for during his long and difficult illness.
The beloved wife and devoted caretaker of the late Peter S. Manzelli, who passed away this spring, she was a devoted mother to Karen Cartolano and her husband Joey of Andover, Peter Manzelli II and his wife Michele of Chelmsford. She was a loving “Nana” to Joseph M Cartolano, Peter Manzelli III and Gianna Manzelli. The sister of the late Theresa Lamb and twin sister Mary Lorraine Giangrande, Jeannette leaves many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Sassy.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Monday January 5th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Sunday 3 thru 8 PM.
