Obituary

LEICESTER: Annette B. (Bergmann) Burnet, 83, of Warren Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 31 in her home after an illness.

Her husband George L. Burnet, Sr. died in 1980. She leaves two sons; George L. Burnet, Jr. and his wife Sandra of North Hampton, NH and David H. Burnet of Sarasota, FL, three daughters; Marjorie A. Rule and her husband James of Hadley, Kathy A. Chiusano and her husband Anthony of Leicester and Debra A. O’Brien of Marlborough, a brother Carl Bergmann and his wife Betsy of White Bear Lake, MN, her identical twin sister Charlotte Russell and her husband Lewis of Wayland, 10 grandchildren; Wendy, Kelly, Heather, Samantha, Sophie, Kimberly, Brian, Katie, John & Shannon, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Abby.

Mrs. Burnet was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Carl A. and Mabel (Wagner) Bergmann. She graduated from Montclair High School in Montclair, New Jersey. She was a bookkeeper at Russell’s Garden Center in Wayland for several years before retiring. She was very active in the fight against breast cancer. She loved bowling, jigsaw puzzles and arts & crafts. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to thank Summit Eldercare in Charlton and the Quality Wheelchair Transport Co. for their compassionate care.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan 3 at 11:00 AM in Greenville Baptist Church, 684 Pleasant Street, Rochdale. Burial will be at a later date in Rural Cemetery, Southborough. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Summit Eldercare, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.
