NEW BEDFORD … Doris P. (Parisee) Shurtleff, 96, of New Bedford, formerly of Westport passed away Monday December 29, 2014.
She was born in Westport a daughter of the late Edward and Valentine (Ross) Parisee. She was the spouse of the late Grover L. Shurtleff.
She was a member of the Ladies Guild of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Watuppa Grange P of H, Westport Bowling Leagues at Walko Bowling, and Durfee bowling. She enjoyed babysitting, ceramics, knitting, crocheting and gardening.
Survivors include a Daughter: Lana E. Shurtleff of CA, 3 Sisters: Rose Lesnick of AZ, Rita Kennan of CA, and Pauline Tripp of CA, 2 Grandchildren: Kevin & Brian Shurtleff, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Leonard E. Shurtleff. She was the sister of the late, Lorretta McCormick, Irene Brady, Bernadette, Leo, Edward, Armand Parisee, and Peter Ross.
Funeral Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 9:00 A.M. at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St, Fall River. Followed by Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette’s Parish, Eastern Ave. Internment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 4 - 7 P.M.
