Peter M. Cote, 23, of Blackstone died Sunday evening at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was the beloved son of Glen G. Cote of Blackstone and Barbara A. (Hodgkinson) Bray of Cumberland.
Born in Woonsocket Peter was raised in Blackstone and was a graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School Class of 2009. Peter also resided in West Palm Beach, FL before returning to Blackstone.
Peter was enthusiastic about learning the drilling and blasting trade through his work at CDS Construction Company.
Peter enjoyed spending time in the outdoors by hiking and four-wheel driving.
Peter’s legacy of love and caring will always be a special light in the hearts of his family, friends and all those who knew him. Peter’s family also takes comfort in knowing that he has joined his cousin Samantha Jill Cote as they watch over their family from heaven.
In addition to his parents Peter is survived by his brother Justen M. Cote and his sister Brittany A. Cote both of Blackstone. He was the grandson of Rene and Loraine Cote of Woonsocket and Daniel and Barbara Hodgkinson of Cumberland. Peter is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His funeral will be Monday at 8:45 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-6 pm.
