BELMONT – Frances L. (Ford) Cassavaugh, 79, of 291 South Road, died suddenly Monday, December 29, 2014 in her home.
Frances was born on July 7, 1935 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille (Stickney) Ford. She resided in Laconia and wintered in Florida for many years before moving to Belmont five years ago.
Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belmont. She enjoyed quilting, wood crafting, flowers, gardening, bird watching, reading and puzzles. She traveled to most of the states and loved sharing on Facebook.
She is survived by two sons; Shawn R. Cassavaugh and his significant other, Heidi Williams, of Gilford and Stacey F. Cassavaugh and his wife, Carrie, of Tilton; two daughters; Debra L. Drake and her husband, David, of Belmont and Linda L. Ruegg of Homosassa, Florida; ten grandchildren, Jaime Reminar, Kristi Pease, Joshua Drake, Kerri Drake, John Ruegg, Amanda Ruegg, Shawn Cassavaugh II, Nicole McGrath, Jocelyn Cassavaugh, and Joshua Rohelia; a brother, Marshall Ford and his wife Marguerite, of Belmont; two sisters, Janet Bernier of R.I. and Susan Iadevaia and her husband William of R.I.; many nieces and nephews and a number of foster children. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond T.L. “Lee” Cassavaugh in 2000 and by her beloved granddaughter, Kaylee Cassavaugh.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Belmont, 49 Church Street, Belmont, N.H.
Burial will be at the South Road Cemetery in Belmont in the spring.
Since Frances was a five year survivor of breast cancer, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to LRGHealthcare's Hematology/Oncology Department, 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
