Bob was a long time resident of New Albany, after moving from Louisville. He graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School in 1966.He was a true entrepreneur investing his time and effort in a variety of business ventures ranging from a convenience store to a new car dealership to a mobile home park. He once said, "I would buy K Mart if they would finance it." He was a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge 915 and Kosair Shrine Temple and other organizations too numerous to mention.
He enjoyed all sports as long as the University of Louisville was involved, collecting antique cars, and spending time with his bride whether it was at Ft. Myers Beach, FL, or Rough River, KY. Bob dedicated the last seven years of his life to organ donation awareness, raising funds for children's organ transplant and research through the Kosair Charities Annual Car Giveway. The car giveaway was an idea born out of Bob's love of cars and his desire to give back after he received his heart transplant. Bob's favorite saying was "I believe".
