Margueritte J. ( St. Laurent) Sienkiewicz 76 of South Berwick, Maine, died unexpectedly at her home Friday, December 26, 2014. She was the wife of the late Ralph Sienkiewicz.
Born in Peabody and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Tremblay) St. Laurent. A graduate of Salem High, she married Sonny Erwin, of Salem, at the age 18. Margueritte later married career Air Force man Ron Jewett and became a military wife and mother. Military life suited her well as she enjoyed being stationed in various parts of the country and traveling in general.
In later years she returned to Salem and Marblehead where she worked as a private duty companion and care giver for several seniors. Margueritte moved to South Berwick to live with her brother in 2009.
She is survived by four daughters, Gail M. Sheppard of Hammond, WI, Doris L. Berg of Washington, DC, Colleen J. Jewett of St. Paul, MN, Renee E. Schwartz of Maple Wood, MN, two sons, Ronald M. Jewett of New Richmond, WI, Robert A. Jewett of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two sisters, Doris Nolan of Danvers and F. Irene Fecteau of Melbourne, FL as well as 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William St. Laurent.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem, MA on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem, MA at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
