Vincent Frederick Sia, 60, a lifelong resident of Medway, died suddenly Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. He and his wife Heidi (Taylor) Sia shared 44 years together, having been married for the past 27 years.
Born in Milford, MA on September 25, 1954, he was the son of the late Angelo and Julia (Farquahar) Sia.
Vinny graduated from Medway High School in 1972 and earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Bridgewater State College in 1976.
He was the owner of Sia Restorations in Medway where he took pride in his work as a carpenter and a painter.
Vinny loved to play his acoustic guitar, and listen to music. He also enjoyed auto restoration in his younger day. Vinny looked forward to spending time with his family and friends. He had a servant heart for helping, and frequently and quietly gave of his time and talents to others. Most important to Vinny was his love for and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He especially enjoyed his men’s Tuesday night bible study.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons Angelo Sia of Boston and Anthony Sia of Carbondale, CO., whom he loved dearly and was very proud of.
He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Sia and his wife Carolyn of South Boston and James Sia and his wife, Cynthia of Sudbury, three sisters, Edna Clifford of Tiverton, RI, Mary Anne Maginot and her husband James of Palmetto, FL and Helen Sia of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 30 from 6 -8 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 31 from 10-11 a.m. at the Medway Community Church, 193 Main Street in Medway, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
