Chicopee – Jeanne M. (Lavallee) Salvas, age 94, passed away on Dec. 28, 2014 at Mt Saint Vincent, Holyoke. She was born on Aug. 1, 1920 in Canada, a daughter of the late Joseph and Hermina (Giguere) Lavallee. Jeanne worked as an instructor at F.W. Sickles for 33 years before she retired in 1980. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Parish. She is predeceased by her husband John B. Salvas, who passed away in 1993 and also by her companion of 12 years Gerald Langlois who passed away in 2006. She leaves her extended family of Gerald Langlois, along with several nieces. Calling hours will be held on Tues., Dec. 30, 2014 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee.
