Obituary

Ronald P. Rose, 66, of New Bedford died December 19, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Betty (Texeira) Rose.
Born in Wareham, son of the late Frank and Matilda (Pires) Rose, he was raised in Marion and lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Mr. Rose was formerly employed by as a laborer with the International Laborers Union Local #285 for 23 years.
He served in the US Army.
Mr. Rose enjoyed sports and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Scott Rose, Burt Rose and Ronald Rose, Jr., all of New Bedford; two daughters, Tammy Pires and Rose Pina, both of New Bedford; two step-daughters, Heidi Gracia of Alpharetta, GA and Wendy Darjean of Houston, TX; two brothers, Peter Rose, and his wife Judy, of Marion and Robert Rose, and his wife Melody, of New Bedford; two sisters, Elizabeth Gilbert, and her husband Dan, of New Bedford and Patricia Gomes of Marion; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Richard Rose, David Rose and Marsha Monteiro.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, December 22nd at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, December 21st from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
