WEBSTER – Domenica G. “Mickey” (Cordima) Sofrin, 89, died Monday, December 22, 2014 in Worcester Rehab & Healthcare Center after an illness. Her husband of 55 years, John A. Sofrin, died in 2001.
She leaves 3 children, John A. Sofrin of Worcester, and Pamela A. Tibbetts and David F. Sofrin, both of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Lauren M. Tibbetts, Brian Sofrin and Cynthia Hughes; 2 great-granddaughters, Kori Hopkinson and Brianna Hughes; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She was born in Boston, the youngest daughter of Candelaro and Maria (Urino) Cordima. She lived in the Boston area until moving to Webster 38 years ago.
Mrs. Sofrin was a homemaker and excellent cook. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne, a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, and a member of the Living Rosary and of the Family Apostolate Ministry.
The funeral will be held Saturday, December 27, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Saturday in the funeral home.
