Harriet Boedecker passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at her home in Mystic.
Born Jan. 17, 1929, in Pittsburgh Pa., daughter of Lenoir and William Brotzman, she attended Chatham College and Penn State University.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Boedecker; daughter, Ruth Rott of Spenge, Germany; son, Robert S. Boedecker of Waterbury Center, Vermont; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In their retirement years she and her husband traveled extensively mostly by sea and rail. Harriet will long be remembered for her keen sense of humor, her love of cooking and gardening and her devotion to friends and family.
Funeral services are private for the family.
