Peggy Sue Smith, 76, of Tifton died Friday, December 19, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Jimmy Boyd, George Helms, John Creasman, Nick Huerta, Benny Crum and Walter Connor will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Darren Smith, Dustin Smith and Barney O’Quinn.
Mrs. Smith was born on April 30, 1938 in Jennings, Florida. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Smith; and one daughter, Becky Trupia. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Allen Smith and Darren Keith Smith and Flossie Boyd, all of Tifton; four grandchildren, Chuck Trupia, Dustin Smith, Darren Smith and Meaghan Smith; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Trupia, Logan Scarberry and Chase Huerta; and her best friend, Ruth Creasman.
